With nearly 30 years’ experience in graphic design, and a lifelong interest in the unexplained, Steven launched the podcast in 2021 as a way of combining atmospheric storytelling with the strange, historic, and often unsettling accounts that stay with us.

Steven Holloway is the creator and host of Haunted UK. With nearly 30 years’ experience in graphic design, and a lifelong interest in the unexplained, Steven launched the podcast in 2021 as a way of combining atmospheric storytelling with the strange, historic, and often unsettling accounts that stay with us.
As a studio owner, audio engineer, and multi-instrumentalist, he oversees every stage of the production process - from recording and sound design to mixing and mastering - giving Haunted UK its distinctive cinematic, documentary-led feel.
What began as a limited project has grown into a globally reaching podcast, shaped by careful research, strong atmosphere, and a deep respect for the stories being told.

Melissa West is a multi-disciplinary artist who grew up in Quebec and Ontario, Canada, before moving to the Midwest United States several years ago.
Her passion for writing stories and composing music began in childhood, alongside a lifelong love of all things spooky and supernatural. Bringing those elements together, she created The Skyla
Melissa West is a multi-disciplinary artist who grew up in Quebec and Ontario, Canada, before moving to the Midwest United States several years ago.
Her passion for writing stories and composing music began in childhood, alongside a lifelong love of all things spooky and supernatural. Bringing those elements together, she created The Skylark Bell, an award-winning podcast featuring novels, short stories, collaborations, and an original soundtrack which she composed and recorded.
That creative path later led to her work as a contributing writer and editor for Haunted UK, as well as co-creating Haunted UK Fiction with Steven Holloway.

Jen Patterson is a Minneapolis-based writer and longtime contributor to a range of professional publications. Although she’s a newcomer to the podcasting world, her storytelling is shaped by a lifetime of reading, global travel, and a habit of seeking out local legends, haunted places, and indie bookstores wherever she goes.

Jen Patterson is a Minneapolis-based writer and longtime contributor to a range of professional publications. Although she’s a newcomer to the podcasting world, her storytelling is shaped by a lifetime of reading, global travel, and a habit of seeking out local legends, haunted places, and indie bookstores wherever she goes.
Jen believes the truth isn’t just out there — it’s waiting to be discovered. Her insatiable curiosity about the paranormal, from hauntings to UAPs, was sparked by a childhood book on UFOs and fuelled by a steady diet of classic 1970s and 1980s science fiction.
While The Twilight Zone and In Search Of… helped lay the groundwork, it was The X-Files that truly captivated her — and remains her North Star.
Jen’s friendship with Melissa West and Steven Holloway, and their shared love of the spooky and unexplained, eventually brought her to the Haunted UK team as a contributing writer and editor.
